“Congressmen who willfully take action during wartime that damage morale and undermines the military are saboteurs and should be arrested, exiled, or hanged.”-Abraham LincolnHonest Abe was right on the money. It's time we faced reality about what our own elected officials are doing.

Yep! It is war time. I wonder when people will start to understand this; freedom ain't free! Excellent post and if you aren't around on the blogosphere this week, Happy Thxgiving!:)
The Democrats have had a field day saying Bush lied about WMD or that he fabricated intelligence.
Their arguments defy logic.
If most of the world was convinced that Saddam possessed WMD, what use would a lie serve?
If he was lying, the lie would be discovered upon the invasion of Iraq. Instead they spent several months searching Iraq for WMD.
The Democrats should have to answer these questions:
If WMDs were found in Iraq, how would it change the situation today?
Would the discovery of WMD make the current insurgency and terrorist problem any different?
The Democrats don't have a strategy for fighting terrorism other than appeasement and avoiding the problem.
The only possible reason Bush may have lied about WMD may have been for strategic purposes. That is, remove a potentially dangerous regime off the map and attempt to change the profile of the Middle East.
You may recall that the french, Germans and Russians were against military action in Iraq. You may also recall that france and Germany are up to their eyeballs in the Oil for Food scandal.
Had france, Russia and Germany succeeded at the UN to stop the US from attacking Iraq, they would have had UN sanctions lifted. If this happened, Saddam would have been untouchable. (The Saudis would have kicked us out to save their own necks.)
I wonder if Good ole Abe was speaking about going to war on a lie...
Cynthia ... please join reality.
What trusim spoken by Abe. "Congressmen who willfully take action during wartime that damage morale and undermines the military are saboteurs and should be arrested, exiled, or hanged."
As an ex-serviceman (US NAVY), I recall that our superiors did not take even the hint of subversion lightly--even in a joking sense. These bastards in Washington are trying to score political points while increasing the hazards to our boys (including my 18-year old in the US ARMY). Their arrogance of the career politicians has gotten the best of them (what little there was of it), and it shows how twisted they really are.
"Congressmen who willfully take actions during wartime that damage morale & undermine the military are saboteurs & should be arrested, exiled, or hanged." - President Abraham Lincoln
Lincoln never said this. Ever. This quote is a fabrication of Dr. J. Michael Waller who first wrote it in 2003 shortly before the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth gave it life in 2004.
I have two original King & Baird pamphlets in my collection, the identical pamphlet Waller sites as his proof. Lincoln never wrote anything like this ... here, or anywhere else.
How pathetic has the Republican Party become that it insults the reputation of America's finest Republican president for their political gain?
